About the Role
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform development tasks associated with designing, developing, and debugging software applications or operating systems according to provided specifications. In this role, you will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation, requiring a solid understanding of roles, processes, and procedures. The candidate will perform moderately complex problem-solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. A BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area is required, along with 3 years of software engineering or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Experience with programming and/or scripting languages such as Python, TCL, SQL, C/C++, JavaScript, Perl, and shell scripting.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX/Solaris, including system administration.
- Experience developing automated test software for server systems.
- Basic understanding of computer architecture and hardware components.
- Experience with networking and connectivity.
- Ability to test hardware, perform software downloads and installations, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Experience writing test cases to verify software quality.
- Ability to document test procedures, issue resolutions, and test results.
- Familiarity with the product development life cycle.
- Experience with databases is a plus, but not required.
What You'll Do
The Test Engineer position is within the Supply Chain Operations organization and plays a critical role in server production. Test Engineers work at the intersection of hardware and software engineering within a close-knit team. Each engineer is assigned to support a specific product or product line.
In this role, you will:
- Develop code for test infrastructure and connectivity.
- Test customer systems.
- Perform software downloads.
- Conduct troubleshooting to ensure the highest performance standards for assigned products.
- Coordinate with various engineering groups to develop and implement test plans.
- Provide technical support to the production floor.
- Drive and influence design and process changes for assigned products.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $99,600 to $209,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
