We are looking for a Principal Platform Engineer to join a leading enterprise organisation and drive the next evolution of its AWS cloud and AI platform capabilities.

This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled platform engineering professional to take ownership of platform strategy, architecture, automation, and engineering standards across a modern AWS ecosystem. You'll play a key role in enabling cloud-native development, accelerating AI adoption, and building secure, scalable platforms that empower engineering teams to deliver at speed.

You'll be joining a high-performing technology team working at enterprise scale, leveraging modern cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, and AI technologies to deliver real business outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of enterprise-scale AWS platform capabilities.

• Define platform architecture, standards, and engineering best practices.

• Build and enhance cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation-first principles.

• Drive platform reliability, observability, security, resilience, and operational excellence.

• Enable and support cloud-native application development across engineering teams.

• Champion DevOps, SRE, CI/CD, and Platform Engineering practices.

• Design and implement capabilities that support AI, machine learning, and Generative AI workloads.

• Partner with Architecture, Security, Data, and Engineering leaders to align platform strategy with business objectives.

• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple delivery teams.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.

• Deep AWS expertise across services including:

  • EKS

  • ECS

  • EC2

  • Lambda

  • IAM

  • VPC

  • RDS

  • Route 53

  • S3

  • CloudWatch

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Terraform

  • Kubernetes

  • CI/CD pipelines

  • Infrastructure as Code

  • Cloud Security

  • Observability and Monitoring

  • Platform Automation

• Proven experience designing and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms.

• Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.

• Ability to influence technical direction and drive engineering excellence.

Highly Desirable

• Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI platforms.

• Exposure to:

  • Amazon Bedrock

  • SageMaker

  • MLOps

  • Vector Databases

  • AI Governance Frameworks

  • LLM and GenAI Platform Architecture

• Experience with Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• AWS Professional Certifications.

• Experience operating within large and complex enterprise environments.
