Principal Data Analyst
Summary
A senior analytics role in the NHS (East London NHS Foundation Trust) data team: analysing, interpreting, and presenting complex clinical and operational data using SQL, Power BI, and Excel, and engaging stakeholders across the Trust to support evidence-based decision making. Office-based in London with significant face-to-face interaction.
Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year
Requirements:- Degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience to an equivalent.
- Evidence of continuous professional development in Data and Analysis.
- Extremely numerate and able to analyse and interpret data and information accurately and effectively both face to face and virtually.
- Experience of using SQL to manipulate data.
- Experience of working with NHS datasets and knowledge of NHS data dictionary definitions.
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively highly complex information to all staff groups in virtual and face to face environments, workshops and away days.
- Understanding of the workings of a Mental and Community Health provider organisation.
- Analyse, interpret and present complex data and information from a variety of sources and formats into information that is consistent, accurate, relevant and appropriate for a variety of audiences.
- Support the provision of high quality data to clinical and operational colleagues.
- Take a leading role in meeting the growing business intelligence needs of services in East London.
- Present analysis face to face and virtually using workshops, masterclasses, away days, and other stakeholder engagements.
- Use SQL, Power BI, Excel, or similar visualisation tools to analyse and present data.
- Engage and encourage stakeholders across the Trust to use data to support evidence-based decision making.
