Principal Data Analyst

A temporary part-time opportunity to lead the development of advanced reporting and business intelligence solutions, transforming data from multiple systems into actionable insights that support clinicians, managers, and executive leaders.

About the role

As the Principal Data Analyst, you will transform complex clinical, operational and performance data into meaningful intelligence that drives service improvement, innovation and better health outcomes. Working across a diverse range of systems and data sources, you will develop sophisticated reporting solutions, dashboards and analytics that provide stakeholders with timely, accurate and actionable information.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Provide comprehensive predictive and descriptive clinical data analyses to support stakeholders in making informed decisions regarding the current and future direction of the organisation.
• Lead the development and architecture of end-to-end clinical intelligence solutions, including scoping, data modelling, curation, report creation and visualisation for a variety of clinical applications. This includes continual improvement, maintenance and the production of periodic and ad-hoc dashboards.
• Collaboratively lead and influence analytical capability across Metro North Health by sharing advice, scripting, models, reports, information and working group participation.
• Rapidly acquire and synthesize clinical operations specific knowledge to apply in analyses for accurate information production and contextual relevance.
• Using experience and technical skills (SQL, MDX, Crystal), lead on the reliable, efficient and repeatable extraction of clinical data from multiple and disparate data sources for use in organisation decision making.
