台達電子工業股份有限公司 _DELTA ELECTRONICS INC. Principal Electrical Engineer _ Silicon Photonic (Taipei)
Description
▶ About Silicon Photonics Business Division
Delta Silicon Photonics Business Division develops world-class silicon photonics chips and solutions that power next-generation sensors and intelligent systems. Our mission is to deliver smarter and safer environments — from machines and infrastructure to everyday life — by translating advanced silicon photonics into real-world impact that benefits people. We are a future-focused, innovative, and entrepreneurial team driven by deep technology expertise, bold execution, and a strong sense of purpose.
▶We are looking for someone who can
- Lead architecture, schematic design, and layout guidance for compact SiPh module hardware
- Ensure signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, and EMI/EMC robustness in tight form factors with sensitive components, such as laser, ADCs/DACs and PICs
- Select and integrate SoCs, PMICs, ADCs/DACs, drivers, sensors, lasers, and PIC related support circuits
- Optimize electrical design to balance performance, cost, manufacturability, and certification (CE/UL/etc.)
- Work closely with photonics teams to define the best electrical architecture for maximizing PIC performance
- Conduct simulations (SI/PI/thermal) and drive rigorous validation in the lab
- Collaborate cross functionally to ensure design choices align with photonics, firmware, mechanical, and system needs
- Communicate clearly, document thoroughly, and drive decisions with data and engineering judgment
▶What You’ll Be Doing
As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will lead the architecture, design, and validation of the hardware electronics that power our silicon photonics PIC modules. You will be responsible for creating high performance, compact, and robust hardware circuitry that integrates SoCs, power systems, high speed interfaces, mixed signal components, sensors, lasers, and PIC specific control electronics.
You will drive deep technical decisions balancing signal integrity, noise performance, thermal constraints, cost, reliability, and global certification requirements—all within extremely tight mechanical constraints. You will also work closely with photonics, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers to define optimal electrical architectures that bring out the best possible performance from our silicon photonics PIC.
Your expertise will directly influence the module’s capability, manufacturability, and long term roadmap.
▶What It’s Like Working With Us
You will work in an environment where electrical, photonic, mechanical, and embedded challenges interlock. Space is limited, performance requirements are high, and design choices often involve multi disciplinary tradeoffs. You’ll collaborate closely with experts in photonics, firmware, thermal, mechanical engineering, and systems integration to build hardware that is both elegant and resilient.
We value engineers who think holistically, enjoy solving constraints with creativity, and can translate complex requirements into clean, manufacturable designs. You’ll be encouraged to explore new architectures, validate ideas through simulation and measurement, and drive continuous improvement in module performance and quality. Technical depth, curiosity, and ownership are core to success here.
We’re looking for someone who can grow into the role. If this sounds like a place where you could learn, contribute, and grow, we encourage you to apply—even if you don’t meet every requirement.
