About the Role

As a Senior Automation Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks and tools for AutoOne in cooperation with Intelligent Cockpit. You will integrate Gen AI capabilities into automation tools to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and intelligent and global AutoOne testrun reporting. Collaboration with development, QA, and DevOps teams will be key as you define and automate end-to-end test scenarios for complex applications. You’ll create reusable test components and libraries using Python, architect and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated cloud testing and analyze requirements to deliver robust automated solutions. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in automation processes to contribute software factory, build concept and guide product test engineers, monitor and report test results, track and resolve defects, evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies, participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and contribute to the overall quality culture of the organization. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for Test Automation setup & Tooling. Build, and maintain robust automated testing by using python, incorporating best practices for reusability and maintainability.

• Test infotainment systems, including UI, connectivity, multimedia, navigation, and voice features

• End-to-End Test Scenario Creation – Identify the possibilities for any automation or improvement in the manual test and bring it on the automation chain.

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Python

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks on all AutoOne location

• Analyse automated test results, report the defects from AutoOne team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Active cooperation with TA development and test teams to find together a solution for our automation, simulation, and tooling

• Designing, documenting, and implementing new script for generic simulations/test tool applications for use in the automated testing tools & framework and ensuring solutions are modular, maintainable, scalable for use across Harman products.

• Ensure high-quality delivery through efficient automation and best practices

What You Need to Be Successful

• Strong Python programming skills

• Experience in infotainment testing

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective automated solutions.

• 2+ years of experience in software development or automation engineering, with a strong background in Python.

• Proven expertise in designing and developing automation frameworks and tools for large-scale, complex systems, preferably in both native and cloud environments.

• Experience with Agentic Approach for development and Generating Of Agents/Skills/Prompts.

• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models and algorithms to optimize testing or automation processes.

• Familiarity with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Technical degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Automotive or similar

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, MS Office tools, and professional communication platforms

• Familiarity with Android/Linux environments and market-standard test tools and techniques is a plus

• Open to use AI enabled technologies to improve throughput
