Principal Engineer, Enterprise Architect – M&A Integration
Summary
Principal Engineer/Enterprise Architect leading M&A integration programs at Nagarro—assessing current-state landscapes, defining target-state architectures, performing application rationalization, and building integration roadmaps across enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, HR, PLM).
REQUIREMENTS:
• Total experience: 11+ years, with strong experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Application Architecture.
• Must-have experience in Enterprise Architecture supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integration programs.
• M&A integration experience is mandatory — candidates must have worked on acquisition integration, post-merger integration, divestiture, or similar transformation programs.
• Strong experience assessing current-state business applications, technology, integration, infrastructure, and data landscapes.
• Strong experience defining target-state architecture, integration roadmaps, application rationalization, consolidation, migration, coexistence, and retirement strategies.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application landscapes including ERP, CRM, HR, PLM, SaaS, cloud, and on-premises platforms.
• Strong understanding of high-level integration architecture, including APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and file-based integrations.
• Experience with business capability mapping, application dependency mapping, technology landscapes, architecture risks, and integration priorities.
• Experience supporting Day 1, TSA Exit, and Long-Term M&A Integration activities.
• Strong experience creating architecture artefacts including application portfolios, integration diagrams, capability maps, technology inventories, target-state architectures, roadmaps, and Architecture Decision Records.
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture tools such as Ardoq, LeanIX, Bizzdesign, or similar is preferred.
• Experience defining architectures across SaaS, cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Exposure to Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF is preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and architecture workshop facilitation skills.
• Ability to produce clear, concise, and executive-ready architecture assessments, recommendations, and roadmaps.
• Experience working with global stakeholders across UK/EU, APAC, and North America.
• Willingness to travel to the UK/EU for short-duration architecture workshops.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support enterprise architecture activities across M&A integration programs.
• Assess current-state business applications, integrations, infrastructure, data, and technology landscapes within acquired organizations.
• Document application portfolios, technology inventories, application dependencies, integration points, and architectural risks.
• Define target-state architectures and develop practical M&A integration roadmaps.
• Perform application rationalization analysis to identify consolidation, migration, coexistence, replacement, and retirement opportunities.
• Map business capabilities to supporting applications and identify gaps, overlaps, dependencies, and integration priorities.
• Support Day 1, TSA Exit, and Long-Term Integration planning activities.
• Assess high-level integration requirements between enterprise platforms such as ERP, CRM, HR, PLM, and other business applications.
• Facilitate architecture workshops with business, IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, and application stakeholders.
• Develop executive-level architecture assessments, recommendation papers, roadmap materials, and decision documents.
• Create, maintain, and govern architecture artefacts including application landscapes, capability maps, integration diagrams, technology inventories, target-state architectures, and Architecture Decision Records.
• Maintain and update enterprise architecture information within tools such as Ardoq, LeanIX, Bizzdesign, or equivalent repositories.
• Identify integration risks, technical debt, architectural gaps, dependencies, and operational impacts.
• Evaluate technology and application options based on business value, risk, dependencies, and M&A integration requirements.
• Review solution designs and implementation plans for alignment with enterprise architecture principles and target-state architecture.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, data, application, and business teams to develop integrated architecture solutions.
• Work with project teams and external partners to ensure successful execution of M&A integration initiatives.
• Provide objective architectural guidance to stakeholders and balance strategic thinking with practical delivery requirements.
• Support stakeholders across UK/EU, APAC, and North America, including flexibility for occasional early or late meetings.
• Travel to the UK/EU when required for architecture workshops and stakeholder engagements.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
