Principal Engineer, Geotechnical

AECOM's Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Principal Engineer, Geotechnical to join our team in China.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in project bidding by preparing technical proposals, methodologies, and tender deliverables.协助完成项目投标工作，编制投标技术文件、技术方案与方法论等。
• Support team building and daily management of the geotechnical department (resourcing, task allocation, workflow coordination).协助岩土团队建设与日常管理，包括资源协调、任务分配与流程协同。
• Act as the professional lead for assigned projects, owning technical direction and deliverable quality. 担任所承担项目的专业负责人，对技术路线与成果质量负责。
• Ensure project delivery complies with local codes, regulations, and company technical governance. 确保项目符合当地规范、法规及公司相关技术规定并落实到成果文件中。
• Develop project work plans and reasonably arrange daily design tasks for team members to meet schedule and delivery targets. 制定项目工作计划，合理安排下属日常设计工作，确保进度与交付目标达成。
• Mentor junior engineers, improve design capability, and coordinate collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams. 提升下属设计技能，开展技术辅导与校核审查，协调项目团队间合作。
• Ensure verification, filing, and backups of deliverables in line with required document control and traceability. 按要求完成成果校审验证、归档与备份，确保版本受控、可追溯。
• Resolve key technical challenges encountered during design and provide practical, constructible solutions. 解决设计过程中的技术难题，提出可实施的优化建议与解决方案。

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Geotechnical Engineering, Underground Structures, or other civil engineering-related fields. 岩土工程、地下结构或土木工程相关专业本科及以上学历。
• 5–8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering projects. 具备5–8年岩土工程项目设计经验。
• Strong conceptual design capability, excellent technical and communication skills; experience in large-scale geotechnical engineering design and management. 具备优秀的概念设计能力、扎实的技术与沟通能力，具有大型岩土工程设计与管理经验。
• Proficient in PLAXIS, Midas GTS, SAP2000, CAD, and Microsoft Office. 熟练使用 PLAXIS、Midas GTS、SAP2000、CAD 及 Microsoft Office 等软件。
• Strong ownership, excellent organisational skills, and team spirit. 责任心强，组织协调能力优秀，具备团队合作精神。
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written) are required. 具备良好的英语沟通能力（口语与书面）。

• Senior Engineer title, with Registered Geotechnical Engineer or Registered Structural Engineer qualification, is preferred. 具备高级工程师职称，并持有注册土工工程师或注册结构工程师资格者优先考虑。
