Responsibilities

  • Development of analogue and digital circuits
  • Preparation of circuit diagrams and support with PCB layout
  • Selection and qualification of electronic components
  • Implementation of calculations, simulations and tolerance analyses
  • Defining and carrying out hardware tests
  • Development of electronic assemblies in compliance with EMC requirements
  • Support with design reviews and FMEA activities
  • Creating technical documentation
  • Collaboration with firmware, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams
  • Support with prototype construction, verification and transition to series production
  • Analysis and rectification of faults arising from development, production and field returns

Requirements

  • A successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a comparable discipline
  • At least 3 years’ experience in hardware development
  • Experience in the development of industrial electronic systems
  • Experience with product development processes and development standards
  • In-depth knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
  • Experience with processor technology and associated peripheral circuits
  • Knowledge of the simulation and verification of electronic circuits
  • Proficiency in using ECAD tools for schematic design and circuit simulation
  • Experience in using electronic measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers and logic analysers
  • Ideally, knowledge of EMC-compliant device design
  • Knowledge of functional safety is an advantage
  • Knowledge of functional safety (IEC 61508, ISO 13849)
  • Experience with PLM and requirements management systems
