Project description
We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Software Engineer / Solution Engineer with strong experience in C#/.NET, Python, distributed systems, and data-intensive applications. The candidate should have a strong understanding of both software engineering and solution architecture, enabling them to design, integrate, and operate complex applications within a broader enterprise IT ecosystem. The role involves working across complex enterprise environments with real-time and batch processing, large data volumes, high availability requirements, performance-sensitive components, and integrations across multiple internal and external systems. It requires a strong understanding of distributed architecture, scalability, resiliency, data flows, and the interaction between application, data, and infrastructure layers. This role requires a hands-on individual contributor who takes full ownership of deliverables end-to-end, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, performance optimization, and ongoing production support.
Responsibilities
- Designed and developed backend services and business components using C#/.NET, including multithreaded and asynchronous processing for high-volume financial workloads.
- Developed Windows-based applications using WPF and contributed to web interfaces using JavaScript/React.
- Built Python services and analytical components for data processing, financial calculations, automation, and portfolio analytics.
- Designed and implemented REST APIs and integrations with Portfolio Management, Order Management, Execution Management, market data, and other financial systems.
- Designed scalable distributed and service-oriented architecture, focusing on high availability, performance, resiliency, and efficient processing of large datasets.
- Worked with SQL and MongoDB, designing data models, queries, algorithms, and data structures optimized for performance.
- Integrated applications with Microsoft Azure and contributed to solution architecture, technical design, performance profiling, and system optimization.
- Worked in an Agile/DevOps environment, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, unit tests, code reviews, deployment, and production support.
SKILLS
Must have
- Minimum 8 years within the IT industry as a software engineer and/or solution architect.
- .NET (C#, WPF) (Advanced)
- Python (Advanced)
- JavaScript (+ Frameworks e.g., React) (Medium)
- SQL
- Unstructured data experience (e.g., MongoDB)
- Strong technical skills: real-time, multithreaded, high availability, large data sets handling, algorithms
- Understanding of distributed design concepts, including computer and network architecture
- Experience integrating with cloud infrastructure platforms, in particular Microsoft Azure (preferred)
- Strong Solution Architecture experience
- Mature understanding and experience with Agile and the DevOps (CI/CD) cycle
- Solid understanding of design patterns, algorithms and data structures
- Strong problem-solving skills.
