Principal-level Golang engineer to build and scale a digital commerce platform: designing Go microservices and APIs, tuning performance, and working with AWS, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and messaging systems while guiding teams and making key architecture decisions. Full-time role based in Brazil, expected to start immediately.
We are seeking a highly experienced Golang Engineer to help build and scale a next-generation digital commerce solution. The ideal candidate combines strong software development skills with the ability to guide engineering teams, solve challenging technical problems, and make important technology decisions.We are looking for someone that can start working with us full-time starting next week.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement backend solutions using Go and a microservices approach.
- Develop efficient APIs and integrations between internal and external systems.
- Identify potential performance bottlenecks and improve system stability.
- Help teams make informed decisions about software design and technology choices.
- Work with cloud infrastructure, databases, and asynchronous messaging systems.
- Review technical solutions, support other developers, and improve development workflows.
- Introduce tools and processes that increase code quality and development efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- 12+ years of professional software development experience.
- 5+ years working extensively with Golang in production environments.
- Strong understanding of distributed applications and service-oriented design.
- Solid knowledge of REST, gRPC, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in Go concurrency, debugging, performance tuning, and automated testing.
- Understanding of messaging systems, data synchronization, and fault-tolerant applications.
- Previous experience guiding technical initiatives involving multiple development teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Nice to have Apache Kafka and Java.
- Terraform, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
- Redis, React, or TypeScript.
- Experience with large-scale online retail or marketplace applications.
- Familiarity with AI-powered development tools.
