Job Description


We are looking for a Senior GitHub Platform Engineer with strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD automation, and DevOps practices to drive our enterprise developer platform. This role will focus on enhancing developer productivity, implementing secure and scalable DevSecOps solutions, establishing engineering standards, and enabling modern software delivery through automation, cloud technologies, and platform engineering best practices. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with hands‑on technical expertise in GitHub, cloud platforms, and enterprise‑scale engineering environments.


Required Qualifications



  • 10+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technology roles, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale engineering platforms and automation solutions.

  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience with GitHub Enterprise, including repository management, governance, security controls, branch protection strategies, organization administration, and enterprise‑wide platform adoption.

  • Deep expertise in GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation, including designing reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, deployment pipelines, release automation, and continuous integration best practices.

  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Groovy and/or Bash scripting, with the ability to develop scalable automation solutions, platform tooling, integrations, and operational workflows.

  • Hands‑on experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks to integrate development platforms, security tools, cloud services, and enterprise systems.

  • Proven experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, secrets management, policy enforcement, software supply chain security, vulnerability management, and compliance automation within CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering and platform engineering principles, including Git and advanced Git workflows, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, CI/CD pipeline architecture and optimization, Cloud-native application development and deployment patterns, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools, Platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence, Agile and DevOps delivery practices.

  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, accelerate software delivery, and drive adoption of engineering best practices across the organization.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams and business units.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms in regulated environments, preferably within financial services.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, governance, security, and risk management practices.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
