Principal Network Security Architect
Summary
Cerebras Systems is hiring a Principal Network Security Architect (US and Canada) to own the architectural roadmap for enterprise, data center, and cloud networks — designing high-performance fabrics (spine-leaf, RDMA, EVPN/VXLAN), zero-trust segmentation, and an AI-agent-based network analysis framework, with AWS and Kubernetes at the core.
You will define the architectural roadmap for enterprise, data center, and cloud networks. You will design high-performance data center networking, build an AI-agent-based network analysis framework, and deliver segmented zero-trust-aligned network designs. You will set standards for resiliency, observability, and capacity planning, mentor engineers, and translate emerging AI infrastructure networking patterns into architecture decisions.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the architectural roadmap for enterprise, data center, and cloud networks
- Co-author secure design and lifecycle management for high-performance data center networking, including spine-leaf, RDMA, and high-bandwidth fabrics
- Build and maintain an AI-agent-based analysis and review framework for network changes
- Deliver segmented, zero-trust-aligned network designs across data center and corporate environments
- Set standards for resiliency, observability, and capacity planning across the global network
- Mentor engineers and serve as the senior technical voice on cross-functional network initiatives
- Translate emerging networking patterns for AI infrastructure into actionable architecture decisions
Requirements
- 10+ years of enterprise or data center network engineering experience, including hands-on design and operations at scale
- Understanding of cloud networking and service mesh, emphasizing Kubernetes service mesh and virtual networks
- Expertise in routing, switching, and data center fabrics including BGP and EVPN/VXLAN
- Experience with networking for high-performance compute or AI/ML workloads
- Network automation proficiency using Ansible, Terraform, version-controlled configuration, and CI/CD
- Knowledge of AWS cloud networking, including VPCs, transit gateways, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity
- Experience operating multi-site global networks, including capacity planning, incident response, and vendor management
- Written and verbal communication skills for architecture conversations
