Salary: $240000.00 - $250000.00 p.a. + Bonus

  • Melbourne based, Hybrid Setting, Influential Presence
  • $235-$250k incl. Super + Bonus, large complex critical infrastructure

Join a complex, large-scale organisation in a highly influential OT security architecture position. You'll help shape how security is designed across critical operational environments, working across cyber security, technology, engineering and operational teams. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can move comfortably between deep technical conversations and executive-level decision making.

You'll have genuine ownership of architecture direction, tackle complex security challenges and help ensure security remains practical, proportionate and embedded into the way operational technology is designed and delivered.

About the role

  • Set the security architecture direction for complex and highly connected OT environments.
  • Shape secure network design, segmentation, connectivity and access across operational systems.
  • Provide architecture guidance across major technology programmes and new operational capabilities.
  • Assess technical risk, challenge proposed designs and recommend pragmatic security controls.
  • Work closely with cyber, engineering, infrastructure and operational leaders to solve complex security problems.
  • Influence strategic decisions, remove technical roadblocks and help mature the organisation's OT security capability.

About you

  • Proven experience in OT/ICS security architecture within large, complex or critical operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial networking, segmentation, firewalls, routing and secure remote connectivity.
  • Practical understanding of SCADA, DCS, PLC environments and common industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience applying recognised OT security frameworks such as IEC 62443 and NIST 800-82.
  • Exposure to OT visibility, monitoring, privileged access or secure access technologies.
  • Strong stakeholder skills with the credibility to challenge, influence and build alignment across technical and operational teams.
