Discussion

As a full stack individual contributor, owns the translation of business and product needs into precise specifications that guide AI-assisted software development. Backend platform engineering is the primary responsibility, complemented by the ability to deliver frontend experiences and AI-powered interactions.

Defines system behavior, interfaces, constraints, acceptance criteria, and validation strategies before implementation. Uses AI development tools to generate, refine, and test solutions, applying engineering judgment to assess correctness, security, maintainability, performance, and architectural fit.

Leads technical initiatives across teams, resolves ambiguity, and manages dependencies and integration contracts. Delivers reliable platform services and interactive experiences using React, Node.js, MCP App Extensions, and dynamic AI canvases. Owns outcomes from specification through production validation and ongoing improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform and Backend Software Development
  • Lead cross-team evolution of backend services, middleware patterns, and runtimes to standardize interoperability at scale.

  • Design and develop scalable APIs and services that support multi-tenant workloads, frontend applications, and AI-powered experiences.

  • Define and implement versioning, deprecation, compatibility, and rollout strategies that minimize downstream disruption.

  • Drive shared observability baselines, including service-level objectives, error budgets, and resilience patterns across services.

  • Own backend performance, capacity planning, reliability, and production troubleshooting.

Full Stack and AI Experience Development
  • Deliver features end to end, connecting backend services and APIs with responsive, interactive frontend experiences.

  • Develop and maintain React applications and reusable components using JavaScript or TypeScript, contributing to Node.js services and integration layers as needed.

  • Build MCP App Extensions and integrate their user interfaces with tools, platform services, and AI workflows.

  • Develop dynamic AI canvases that support interactive content, visualizations, and user actions informed by AI outputs.

  • Implement frontend state management, asynchronous data flows, streaming updates, and clear loading, error, and recovery states.

  • Collaborate with product and design partners to translate requirements into intuitive, accessible experiences.

  • Apply appropriate validation, authorization, and error handling across frontend and backend boundaries.

  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems, cloud services, APIs, and production operations.

    • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous product goals into precise, testable specifications covering system behavior, interface contracts, constraints, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.

    • Experience using specifications to guide AI-assisted development, critically reviewing generated implementations and tests, and validating correctness, security, maintainability, and architectural fit.

    • Ability to contribute across the full stack, including React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Node.js, connecting interactive frontend experiences with backend services.

    • Experience or familiarity with MCP App Extensions and dynamic AI canvases, including tool-connected interfaces, streaming updates, and interactive AI-generated content.

    • Experience designing secure service integrations with identity, authorization, auditability, and policy enforcement.

    • Familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, tool calling, MCP, hosted tools, vector stores, or agent orchestration patterns.

    • Experience with OCI, Kubernetes/containers, Java/Python/TypeScript, service telemetry, and operational excellence.

    • Strong engineering judgment and ownership from specification through production validation, with the ability to work across teams and shape reusable platform capabilities.
