Principal Project Manager
Salary: No Admin/Contractor Fees

The Principal Project Manager will provide expert leadership, guidance and mentorship to project team members and stakeholders, while overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of the project.
The successful candidate will work across a complex healthcare environment, requiring strong project management, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination and problem-solving skills, alongside an understanding of digital health integration, interoperability, data governance, privacy and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining the scope and objectives of deliverables to support outcomes aligned with the project plan.
- Providing advice and strategic input to project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards and align with relevant strategies and architecture.
- Managing the schedule and delivery plan to support key project management, analysis and design activities.
- Engaging with key stakeholders and project boards to ensure the approach supports project objectives.
- Leading engagements across the state, managing risks and adjusting the approach to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Managing capability and resource development by leading and mentoring multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proven experience in the delivery of large-scale, complex IM/ICT programs and projects, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective business change, including the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Expertise in, and application of, appropriate project management methodologies, preferably PRINCE2, with the ability to promote and provide advice on appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools.
- Proven excellent negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and written and verbal communication skills within complex project environments.
- Proven experience leading, managing and mentoring effective multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proven analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Experience working within the healthcare sector.
- Experience working with data governance, privacy and cybersecurity requirements.
- Relevant professional qualifications.
