Principal Software Applications Engineer

Trident Consulting is seeking a "Principal Software Applications Engineer" for one of our clients in "Burlington, MA (Onsite)" A global leader in business and technology services.

Salary Range: 197,000K Base

Key Technical Requirements Must-Have Skills:

• Principal C++ Software Engineer with computer vision and computer graphics experience who can translate research algorithms from Python/MATLAB into commercial medical device software running on Linux-based systems
• Strong C++ development experience (primary requirement).
• Experience developing software in Linux environments, with some exposure to Windows-based C++ development.
• Regulated industry experience (med device #1, defense, automotive)
• Someone who has developed software that communicates with systems or devices.
• Ability to implement and optimize algorithms for commercial products.
• Familiarity with computer graphics, geometric transformations, and image processing.
• Experience using or working alongside OpenCV.
• Python and/or MATLAB understanding.
• C# experience, although this is not a primary screening criteria.
• Research-to-Product Development One of the most unique aspects of this role is the interaction with the Advanced Research team.
• Researchers will often develop algorithms in Python or MATLAB.
• This engineer will be responsible for translating it into efficient, production-quality C++ code.
