Principal Software Engineer

Principal Software Engineer designs and builds scalable, secure microservices and micro frontends using Node.js, React, GraphQL, and AWS, while mentoring engineers and driving best practices.

Responsibilities
- Define scalable, secure microservices and micro frontend architectures.
- Design cloud-native backends using Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS.
- Establish technical direction, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor engineers and provide high-value architectural code reviews.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development tools.
- Build and integrate React-based micro frontends.
- Promote test-first development, automation, and CI/CD practices.
- Align technical strategies with business objectives.
- Improve application performance, observability, and security.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience with Node.js.
- Strong full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL.
- Experience designing scalable microservices and serverless architectures.
- Strong knowledge of GraphQL, REST, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS/Aurora.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Strong background in unit testing, CI/CD, and automation.
- Experience with Jest and React Testing Library.
- Experience using Claude Code, Amazon Q, Cursor or GitHub Copilot
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and act as a technical authority.
- Advanced English and excellent communication skills.
