Principal Software Engineer(Back End)
Summary
Lead frontend engineering strategy, architecture, and tooling for modern web applications using React/Angular and TypeScript, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with product managers.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive strategic direction for frontend engineering practices and tooling
- Lead development of accessible, performant, and user-centered web applications
- Design and implement modern frontend architectures and deployment infrastructure
- Build and maintain component libraries and design systems
- Mentor and coach engineers at all levels
- Collaborate with product managers to balance UI/UX experience with implementation effort
Requirements
- 10+ years of related experience
- Proven experience architecting modern frontend applications at scale using React and/or Angular
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508)
- Experience with automated testing (Playwright, Cypress, Jest)
- US Citizenship required and ability to obtain Public Trust 6C
