What we build reaches millions of drivers worldwide.Mission of the Role: Design and develop embedded software and prototype advanced technologies for Electrification products. Implement software features and architecture for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Power Electronics. Contribute to architectural definitions, review high-level designs, support requirements gathering, and assist in new customer pursuits and project startups.Key Objectives of the Role: <ul><li>Develop and implement software features for Electrification products, including Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Power Electronics. </li><li>Analyze and interpret customer requirements to design software solutions and contribute to architecture and feature implementation plans. </li><li>Apply architectural guidelines and constraints to software design and break down requirements into implementable components. </li><li>Create detailed technical documentation, including software design specifications and review materials for Electrification projects.</li><li> Contribute to process improvements by developing automation scripts and strategies to enhance software development efficiency. </li><li>Participate in architecture discussions and workshops to align software design with product-level architecture and roadmap.</li></ul>Key Year-One Deliverables: Feature Development & Delivery<ul><li>Implement and validate at least major software features for BMS and Power Electronics products according to project timelines.</li><li>Ensure 100% compliance with coding standards and functional safety requirements.</li></ul>Architecture & Design Contributions<ul><li>Contribute to software architecture definition for at least one new product or major feature set.</li><li>Deliver detailed design documentation for all assigned modules before design reviews.</li></ul>Requirements Analysis<ul><li>Complete requirements analysis and traceability for assigned features within the first quarter.</li><li>Maintain zero gaps in requirement coverage for implemented features.</li></ul>Key Performance Indicators:Feature Delivery & Timeliness<ul><li>Complete assigned software features and tasks within agreed timelines and project milestones.</li></ul>Software Quality<ul><li>Maintain high-quality code through unit testing, code reviews, and defect resolution.</li></ul>Collaboration & Communication<ul><li>Work effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly communicate technical concepts.</li></ul>Continuous Learning & Skill Development<ul><li>Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply new knowledge to projects.</li></ul>Innovation & IP Contribution<ul><li>Contribute ideas for technical improvements or new solutions.</li></ul>Qualifications, Experience and Skills: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical, Computer Science or equivalent.</li><li>3+ years of experience leading design and architecture of automotive embedded products. </li><li>Experience working on software controls development for Electrification products such as BMS and Power Electronics.</li><li>Communicates design rationale and build consensus to stakeholder.</li><li>Experience developing embedded real-time safety critical software systems.</li><li>Experience with Agile software development, change and configuration management.</li><li>Experience in developing software to meet Functional Safety and Cybersecurity.</li><li>Good communication skills; verbal and written with global cultural sensitivity .</li><li>Ability to work within a constrained deadline (quotes are tightly time bound).</li><li>Self-motivated with ability to lead a global team toward a common goal.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI in day-to-day work.</li><li>HV, Battery, Automotive, BMS, or ESS background.</li></ul>Key Leadership Behaviors:<ul><li>Results Orientation</li><li>Collaboration</li><li>Resilience</li><li>Critical Thinking</li></ul>Reporting Structure: This role is part of the Electrification product line and reports into the Electrification Software team.Since 2000, Visteon has been advancing mobility through our state-of-the-art product portfolio that merges advanced displays, domain controllers, digital cockpit innovations, AI-enhanced software, and integrated EV architecture solutions.
