The Long Service Corporation (LSC) manages portable long service schemes for the building and construction industry and contract cleaning industry, and is preparing to launch a third scheme for the community services industry (CSI).

You will join the Digital and Program Delivery team. The team is leading the delivery of new portable long service leave schemes, including the development and rollout of the systems and processes needed to administer them. Your day-to-day

  • Lead the design, build and delivery of complex integration solutions across the full lifecycle, ensuring secure, scalable and observable outcomes aligned to organisational integration strategies.
  • Act as the principal technical authority for integration engineering, shaping API‑led and integration solutions using enterprise platforms including MuleSoft and Apigee.
  • Provide hands‑on technical leadership across solution design, development, testing and deployment, setting direction and assuring quality across concurrent delivery streams.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams, business stakeholders, security and platform teams to translate business outcomes into robust, compliant integration designs.
  • Establish and promote integration engineering standards, patterns and best practices to uplift solution quality, reusability and operational resilience.
  • Own the operational integrity of integration solutions, including availability, incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement of resilience and supportability.
  • Produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation, including architecture artefacts, API specifications, interface contracts and operational runbooks, to support delivery, operations and knowledge transfer.
  • Coach and mentor engineers across teams, strengthening integration capability, technical maturity and adherence to best practice.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Extensive hands‑on experience designing and delivering complex integration solutions in a large‑scale or enterprise environment.
  • Deep technical expertise in integration engineering, including API design, security patterns, non‑functional requirements and platform‑based integration using MuleSoft and/or Apigee.
  • Proven ability to operate as a principal‑level engineer, providing technical leadership, direction and assurance across multiple delivery initiatives.
  • Strong judgement in balancing business priorities, delivery constraints and long‑term platform sustainability.
  • Experience owning production outcomes, including operational support models, incident management and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, working effectively with engineers, delivery leads and senior stakeholders.
  • A commitment to documentation quality, engineering discipline and continuous improvement in a fast‑paced delivery environment.
