The Principal Engineer is a hands‑on technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable full‑stack software solutions while mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
This role leads technical design, architecture, and SDLC execution within Agile teams, ensuring high‑quality, secure, and maintainable software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of full‑stack applications.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and code reviews.
- Mentor and coach developers to improve technical capability and career growth.
- Drive Agile delivery, sprint planning, estimation, and SDLC best practices.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Identify technical risks, improve development processes, and promote continuous improvement.
- Champion target‑state architecture, code quality, and engineering standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong backend development experience with TypeScript, C#, or Java, REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker/Containerization, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, automated testing, and event‑driven systems.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with C#/.NET, SOLID principles, financial systems or capital markets, regulatory projects, and open‑source contributions.
