The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Software engineer to join our team, leading the design, development, and delivery of our highly scalable web applications in the cloud.
Skills set
- BE: C#, ASP.NET, NodeJS
- Frontend: JavaScript or TypeScript, React.js, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Bootstrap, StoryBook, cross-browser compatibility (Frontend skills are good to have)
- Backend: S3, AWS (Services)
- Systems: Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins
- Good to have: GraphQL, Webpack, Jest, SQL
Your role
Solera engineers are trusted with the responsibility of designing and developing software that embraces quality and reliability while delivering performance across all platforms. Your role will be to spearhead these efforts and be a leader and mentor for others on the engineering team, specifically by
- Designing and developing services and applications that enable all Solera products and solutions.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture patterns
- Proven track record of building cloud-native applications
- Partnering with front-end, data, product, QA, operations, and other technical team leads in design, test, release planning, and coordination.
- Mentoring engineers in technologies, patterns, and best practices while leading by example in your areas of expertise
- Diagnosing, characterizing, and addressing performance, scale, and cross-platform stability issues
- Leading design reviews and code reviews for components and systems
- Prototyping and championing new technology introductions to the platform
- Effectively representing our technical capabilities and strategies to diverse internal teams, as well as to external partners and customers
What we’re looking for
- BS degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
- Expert in modern software development practices in multiple languages and environments
- 12+ years of strong development and technical leadership experience
- 10+ years of significant experience with NodeJS, C# applications, and microservice technologies.
- 3+ years of experience interfacing with data access layers for SQL and NoSQL systems.
GenAI:
- Hands-on work in GenAI over the last 1–3 years, including LLM integration, prompt engineering, RAG, MCP, Agentic AI, orchestration frameworks, and inference optimization.
- Experience supporting a platform transition while tactically diagnosing and solving challenges in complex legacy software stacks.
- Strong API designer, with a demonstrated history of working effectively with front-end, data engineering, quality, and operations teams.
- A team player who works hard, admits his/her strengths and weaknesses and has the flexibility to improve by learning new things.
Rockstar qualifications
- Broad full-stack experience consisting of Front-End, Services, and Data layers.
- Experience with designing, planning, and implementing back-end services/microservices, and APIs.
- Experience with Node.js, C#, ASP.NET, TypeScript/JavaScript
- Experience driving agile teams and leveraging SCM, CI/CD, and robust build/test/profiling automation (Git, Jenkins, NPM, Spinnaker)
- Experience with web and public/private cloud services (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx/Apache)
- Demonstrated history of developing frameworks that are effectively leveraged by other developers.
- Designed and built GenAI-powered applications using foundation models, RAG pipelines, and agent-based architectures.
