Principal Statistical Programmer / SAS Programmer
Description
LangLiXi is seeking a Principal Statistical Programmer to join our Taiwan team and provide leadership across global clinical trial projects in direct collaboration with US-based statistical programmers and biostatisticians. This is a direct, in-house position with LangLiXi in Taiwan, not an FSP assignment.
The successful candidate will lead statistical programming strategy and delivery across multiple studies. The Principal Statistical Programmer will define programming approaches, coordinate resources and timelines, ensure consistency across studies, resolve complex technical issues, and oversee the quality and submission readiness of programming deliverables. The individual will remain involved in hands-on programming and review as needed while serving as a technical escalation point and mentor for other programmers.
We welcome both current Principal Statistical Programmers and highly experienced Senior Statistical Programmers who are ready to assume broader technical and program-level responsibility.
This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with approximately two days per week in our Taipei office. Some schedule flexibility is required to collaborate with colleagues in the United States.
Requirements:
1. At least 7 years of statistical programming experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO industry
2. Demonstrated experience leading programming activities across multiple complex studies or a clinical development program
3. Extensive hands-on experience developing, validating, and reviewing SDTM and ADaM datasets and TLF outputs
4. Experience leading or supporting regulatory submission deliverables, including CSR outputs and, where applicable, ISS, ISE, or other integrated analyses
5. Expert knowledge of CDISC standards, clinical trial processes, and regulatory submission requirements relevant to statistical programming
6. Advanced SAS programming skills, including DATA step, PROC SQL, macro programming, debugging, code review, and the resolution of complex programming issues
7. Ability to establish programming approaches, coordinate resources and timelines, identify delivery risks, and maintain consistency across studies
8. Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction, make independent programming decisions, review the work of other programmers, and mentor less experienced team members
9. Ability to independently interpret protocols, SAPs, specifications, submission requirements, and other clinical trial documentation
10. Strong English communication skills and the ability to represent statistical programming in discussions with US-based colleagues, cross-functional teams, and clients
11. Ability to accommodate reasonable meeting overlap with US working hours
