Private Banking Product Manager – Investment Products & Dealing
Job Description
- Work closely with the Investment Products team in Hong Kong and support the Private Banking business in serving high-net-worth clients.
- Support the Head of Private Banking with periodic investment market updates and the placement and execution of OTC and listed investment trades across FX, bonds, equities, funds and structured products.
- Work with business and technology teams to identify business requirements and drive system enhancements for the investment trading platform and related workflows.
- Conduct due diligence on new investment products and periodic performance reviews of existing products within the investment product shelf.
- Work closely with business counterparts and internal stakeholders to support the introduction and ongoing management of investment products.
- Support the Hong Kong Investment Products team in developing and distributing investment ideas and articulating investment concepts to Relationship Managers (RMs) and high-net-worth clients.
- Oversee dealing infrastructure, processes and systems for investment products, ensuring smooth and efficient execution and operational processes.
- Manage and maintain sales documentation, product agreements and service level agreements related to investment products.
- Liaise with Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk Management and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor developments in regional market practices and regulatory requirements, and support enhancements to related systems, processes, frameworks and tools.
- Participate in product and process improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Banking, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in investment products, dealing, private banking, wealth management or product management.
- Hands-on experience or strong product knowledge in one or more of the following: FX, bonds, equities, funds or structured products.
- Experience in private banking, wealth management or serving high-net-worth clients will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products and market practices.
- Experience in product development, business requirements gathering, system enhancement projects or UAT will be an advantage.
- CACS 1 & 2 and relevant CMFAS certifications (including M1, M2, MS, M6 and M7) are mandatory.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers, investment product teams and other stakeholders.
- Good organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Business proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
