Private Equity Analyst Intern (German Speaking)

Open 30d

Location: Munich

Duration : 6 Months

Opportunity for long-term growth – this internship is designed as a potential entry point into a full-time role for candidates who demonstrate strong performance and long-term interest

Why this role?

Want to break into private equity and fintech — but with real impact from day one?

At CEPRES, you’ll work at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, supporting global investors in making better investment decisions. This is not a “shadowing” internship — you’ll be actively involved in projects, data, and client work.

What you’ll do

  • Work with real private market data and understand how investment decisions are made
  • Support live projects (planning, tracking, reporting) with international teams
  • Help improve how data flows across systems — from ingestion to client reporting
  • Identify issues, suggest improvements, and contribute to process optimization
  • Prepare insights and materials used for client discussions and internal decisions
  • Collaborate with Product, Data, and Business teams across different locations

What you’ll learn

  • How private equity and private markets actually work in practice
  • How investment data is structured, analyzed, and used
  • How to manage projects in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
  • How to communicate with stakeholders and translate data into insights

You’ll also receive structured onboarding and hands-on training in:

  • Investment data & analytics
  • CEPRES platform and tools
  • Project and workflow management

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (e.g. internships, working student roles, or full-time experience)
  • Strong interest in private markets, data, or fintech
  • Comfortable working with data (Excel, databases, or similar tools)
  • Structured, reliable, and able to manage your own tasks
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with different stakeholders
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Speaks German at a native level

Benefits

  • Real ownership from day one – you’ll work on meaningful tasks, not just support work
  • Learning & growth – structured onboarding, hands-on training, and exposure to private equity, data, and fintech
  • International environment – collaborate with colleagues across Munich, New York, and other global offices
  • Flexible working model – hybrid setup with a modern Munich office

Plus, the following extras:

  • Public transport support (e.g. Deutschlandticket contribution)
  • Free snacks, drinks & fresh fruit in the office
  • Regular team and company events (e.g. Oktoberfest, team lunches, offsites)
  • Open and inclusive culture with a strong team spirit
  • Access to modern tools & technologies (including AI tools)
At CEPRES, we're committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. We celebrate diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to apply.
