Musicologie Prosper is looking for an accomplished and energetic violin teacher to teach private music lessons! We are looking for a teacher who can teach beginner to advanced violin students of all ages and abilities. Experience teaching viola, cello, or double bass is a great plus, but absolutely not required. Violin is our priority!
We are a growing studio offering in-person music lessons (online lessons only by exception) that opened in September 2025, and we are growing fast!!!

You are an expert violinist who loves introducing people of all ages to music and are looking for more ways to teach or looking for additional income. You are friendly and warm, a great communicator, and always excited to help your students push through challenges.

Your Role:
As a Musicologie violin teacher you'll work with students of all ages and abilities as they identify their goals and progress through curriculum related to those goals. You'll be a friendly guide on their musical journey and you'll encourage community involvement through performances and group classes.
Whether you're already teaching private lessons, working with local school orchestra programs, or performing professionally, Musicologie can be a great opportunity to add teaching hours while being part of a supportive community of musicians.

An excellent violinist.
Excited to help students of all ages and abilities become passionate, proficient musicians.
An expert communicator in person and by email.
Extremely organized.
Self motivated.
Curious and inspired to learn new things.
Able to work evening and/or weekend hours.
You have:
A bachelor's degree in violin performance, music education, or equivalent experience.
Experience teaching violin to students of different ages and skill levels.
Experience working with kids and families; early childhood experience (under 5 yrs old) is a plus.
Experience teaching viola, cello, or double bass is a bonus, but not necessary. We're primarily looking for a great violin teacher!
You will get:
$40–$45 per hour (W-2), based on experience and qualifications.
Flexible part-time teaching opportunities that can complement your existing teaching or performance schedule; the majority of our teaching hours occur after-school, in the evenings and on the weekends.
