MORGAN & MORGAN | America's Largest Injury Firm

Probate & Estate Administration Attorney

📍 Florida (In-Office) | 🏛 Full-Time or Solo/Small-Firm Partnership Arrangement | 💼 Competitive Base + Per-Estate Bonus

This isn't your typical estate practice. It's the chance to build something from the ground up — inside the infrastructure, resources, and case volume of the largest personal injury firm in the United States.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Morgan & Morgan — the nation’s largest injury firm — is launching a dedicated Probate & Estate Administration practice to serve the families of our deceased clients. We have thousands of matters requiring estate administration — and that number continues to grow. The volume ahead is substantial.

We're looking for our first hire: an experienced Florida probate attorney who will help lay the foundation for what we intend to build into a full team. For the right person — someone who is sharp, entrepreneurial, and driven — this practice area represents a rare opportunity to grow alongside it. How far this goes depends on performance, fit, and the strength of what gets built. The position can be based in any of our Florida offices.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Our deceased clients often pass away intestate — without a will, without an estate in place. Their families are left in legal limbo, unable to receive the settlement funds they're owed. You'll change that. Specifically, you will:

  • Open and administer intestate estates in Florida probate court on behalf of heirs entitled to our clients' settlement proceeds.
  • Prepare and file all necessary probate documents — petitions for administration, letters of administration, inventories, notices to creditors, and final accountings.
  • Serve as the primary legal contact for families, walking next-of-kin through the process with clarity and compassion.
  • Coordinate with our internal team — our paralegals handle the administrative legwork; you focus on the legal strategy and filings.
  • Manage a volume caseload with precision, tracking each matter from initiation through estate funding and case closure.
  • Handle a mix of uncontested and contested matters, with contingency counsel available for complex disputes when capacity requires.
  • Help establish firm-wide probate processes that can scale as the practice grows.

THE MORGAN & MORGAN ADVANTAGE

We do the heavy lifting so you can focus on the law. When a matter lands on your desk, we've already assembled:

  • Death certificates
  • Next-of-kin affidavits and family tree documentation
  • Heir contact information and intake details
  • Dedicated paralegals to handle administrative tasks end-to-end

You won't be chasing paperwork. You'll be practicing law — with one of the most well-resourced legal teams in the country behind you.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Florida Bar member with substantial experience in probate and estate administration (intestate matters strongly preferred).
  • Deep command of Florida Probate Code — you know the statutes, the timelines, the courts, and the judges.
  • Process-oriented and highly organized — you can manage a high-volume docket without letting anything fall through the cracks.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — this is a new practice area; you'll help shape it.
  • Strong communicator with grieving families and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Experienced in contested probate matters — will contests, heirship disputes, or creditor claims don't rattle you.
  • Sole practitioners and small-firm attorneys are welcome to apply — we offer a per-case fee structure designed for independent practices.

COMPENSATION

For In-House Candidates: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus a per-estate bonus paid upon case funding.

For Solo Practitioners / Small Firms: A per-case fee arrangement designed to be competitive and straightforward. You handle the legal work; we handle everything else and deliver fully packaged matters to your desk.
