Process Development Engineer

Develops and refines packaging products from prototype to mass production, focusing on process improvement and cost efficiency while coordinating with internal and external teams.
Job Summary / Purpose
Responsible for product development from prototype to mass production, process development, and ensuring appropriate and cost-effective product
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Leads and coordinate new product development (includes process development for novel products)
Prepare technical documents (i.e. Drawings, Control plans, etc) to ensure product is designed to purpose
Supervision of production and QA for new product prototypes
Interface between both internal and external stakeholders on the technical aspects of product development
Prepare test plans for qualification of raw materials and new process
Survey market on process and material technologies with regards to product packaging
Assist in evaluation of possible cause/s for problems encountered in the plant or from clients and recommend solutions
Evaluate and specify the appropriate test instruments, as well as, quality testing procedures of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods
Conduct life cycle assessment on products and processes to propose green alternatives
Other product and process related tasks may be assigned from time to time
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years in the packaging industry;
- Specializes in the product development and process improvement of packaging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Time-management and Multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge in Solidworks, SAP, Mobius would be advantageous
- Relevant engineering experience with strong technical competency
Singapore experience preferred for senior engineering roles
Technically and digitally competent with exposure to engineering technologies, automation, AI-assisted tools, and digital applications
Demonstrates curiosity to learn, evaluate, and apply new technologies to improve engineering performance and efficiency
Leads Root Cause analysis (RCA) and implements Corrective And Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve equipment reliability and process performance
Prepares technical documentation, engineering reports, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Analytical and forward-thinking with proactive problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
Demonstrates professionalism, technical discipline, high sense of urgency in escalating issues, and effective collaboration across teams
