Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with strong expertise in cable
harness manufacturing to support new product development, RFQ execution, and
process establishment. The role involves end-to-end responsibility from
reviewing customer requirements to defining manufacturing processes,
documentation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review
and analyze customer documents to ensure complete understanding of project
scope related to cable harness assemblies.
- Prepare
accurate and error-free Bill of Materials (BOM), including identification
of MSD (Moisture Sensitive Devices) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)
components.
- Design,
develop, and establish internal manufacturing processes with appropriate
controls.
- Conduct
First Article Inspection (FAI) validation and release process parameters.
Continuously update and improve PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects
Analysis).
- Develop
and maintain:
- Process
Flow Charts
- Process
Control Plans
- PFMEA
documents
- Work
Instructions, SOPs, visual aids, and templates
- Packing
instructions
- Lead
and facilitate Cross Functional Team (CFT) discussions for PFMEA.
- Conduct
Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with Process, Quality, and
Production teams.
- Ensure
timely release of all engineering documentation (minimum 3 days prior to
production build).
- Manage
configuration control and all related engineering activities.
- Provide
technical expertise in cable harness processes including:
- Cutting
- Stripping
- Crimping
- Connectorization
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong
process knowledge in cable harness manufacturing (cutting, stripping,
crimping, connectorization).
- Familiarity
with First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements as per AS9102 standard.
- Hands-on
experience with engineering documentation, including:
- Process
Flow Charts
- Process
Control Plans
- PFMEA
/ FMEA
- Assembly
Instructions
- SOPs
- Final
Inspection & FQA Checklists
- Knowledge
of Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes.
- Ability
to work cross-functionally with Quality, Production, and Engineering
teams.
- Strong
attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
