Process Engineer - Carbody

Carbody Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the designing, developing, and overseeing the manufacturing processes involved in creating the car-body structures of railway vehicles. This role ensures that the carbody components meet safety standards, performance requirements, and design specifications while optimizing cost and production efficiency.

• Feasibilty study for the new design & feedback to Engineering.
• Support in development of Tools, Equipment & Process implementation as per project requirement for welding, passivation & painting.
• Support Industrial Engineering to ensure risks analysis is performed using Process FMEA.
• Improve Quality level by performing analysis & manage actions to improve the outgoing product quality.
• Stop production or processes in case of a deviation and ensure corrections are done and escalate to top management upon necessity.
• Support manufacturing teams to develop self-inspection.
• Ensure Quality hold points are respected and followed during manufacturing.
• Lead incoming, in process and final inspection teams and ensure compliance to product specifications.
• Support NCR management in an effective way and address to concern teams to perform closure effectively.
• Manage & develop the team with yearly training / qualification plan.
• Perform industrialization reviews along with design team.
• Ensure Special Processes are handled as per EN 15085 & ISO 22163 guidelines.
• Develop & Manintain Welding Management System as per EN15085.
• Managing the Painting and Passivation activities performed by the supplier.
• Ensure Works are carried out as per the safety standards.
