Job Summary
You will support and enhance plant operations by troubleshooting processes, driving improvements, and managing projects to increase reliability and capacity while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement improvements to enhance plant reliability and increase capacity
- Coordinate and actively participate in HAZOP studies to ensure process safety compliance within the plant
- Develop detailed process improvement proposals for project planning, implementation, and execution
- Conduct plant trials to validate process improvements and qualify raw materials for production
- Initiate, plan, and manage capital projects to support operational enhancements
- Perform basic process engineering design tasks to support plant operations and projects
- Monitor process trends and product quality data to ensure consistent product quality and conformance
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Up to 10 years of relevant work experience in refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industries
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with all staff levels and cross-functional teams
- Proficient knowledge of process design and engineering principles
- Familiarity with ASME and API codes and standards
- Knowledge and application of HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and engineering tools
