Job Summary
Business Unit Cheese and Powder Systems develops, engineers and commissions cheese and powder production equipment for the food industry. With over 600 employees in 8 countries we develop, deliver and facilitate a competitive portfolio of process solutions in close cooperation with the Tetra Pak Market Companies.
The Operations Evaporation Team in the Netherlands engineers and commissions evaporation equipment with a team of Process, Mechanical and Automation Engineers.
To further strengthen our activities, we are looking for a professional and motivated
Process Engineer
This position is based in Heerenveen, the Netherlands. The role requires regular travel, with approximately 20% of your time spent on-site.
What you will do
- Design, specification and cost calculation for quotations and projects.
- Define the needed equipment and functionality of the equipment to satisfy customer demand
- Calculate and develop the optimal sizing for mechanical equipment, piping and pumps with regards to process requirements
- Pro-actively lead and communicate with other colleagues and/or have technical discussions with customers / suppliers.
- Working out the process in a P&ID and managing the process design of the installation in close collaboration with the other members of the project team.
- Writing specifications for components and assessing the progress and quality of the components at the suppliers.
- Advising and supporting the commercial team with regards to making quotations.
- Giving Market Company or customer technical presentations on the process design.
- Commissioning the installation in cooperation with an Automation Engineer and site team.
- Troubleshooting while in the field / during production.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Experience within the Dairy, food or process industry is considered a strong advantage
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage
- Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of both fluid and thermodynamics
- Self-motivated with a results-driven and detail oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team
