Job Summary

We are looking for a Process Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, increase production efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues, optimise processes, and ensure high product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Optimise process parameters and production efficiency for plastics compounding.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes and support production scale-up.
  • Investigate and resolve production and process-related issues.
  • Conduct production trials and evaluate new processes before implementation.
  • Support customer complaint investigations related to process issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on new product transfers and process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools, 5S, RCA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Lead or participate in projects to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimise downtime, and lower production costs.
  • Prepare reports and maintain process documentation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and report writing skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
