POSITION SUMMARY:

Develops processes necessary to produce new products. Establishes methods and practices to assure process control and high quality of plastic injection molded parts.


KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Trains and educates associates with regards to injection molding processes and equipment.
  • Performs process troubleshooting to resolve quality and production issues related to plastic injection molding
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts and implementation
  • Establishes processes for new products to assure all customer requirements, quality standards, and productivity targets are met
  • Implements process improvements to optimize cycle times
  • Estimates cycle time and shot weights for new products
  • Monitors cleanliness and safety of the worksite.
  • Performs product problem solving and corrective actions.
  • Performs machine process adjustments and changeovers when necessary.
  • Completes required forms and paperwork, prepares reports as required
  • Promotes an associate relations environment that is consistent with long-term management objectives
  • Follows all safety rules and keeps the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Performs other duties as necessary.
