We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will collaborate with production and project teams to develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes for innovative assemblies used by international customers in demanding semiconductor and aerospace environments. Your responsibilities will span from identifying suitable cable assembly and testing processes to transferring prototypes into validated, scalable series production. You will also create and maintain the required documentation and standards. This role can suit both early-career engineers ready to grow into broader responsibilities and experienced engineers bringing deeper process expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, control, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure stable, repeatable, and capable operations
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for product, process, equipment, and material issues
  • Identify technical risks and drive preventive actions to support robust manufacturing performance
  • Plan and execute validations for product, process, material, and equipment changes
  • Manage technical projects from planning through implementation in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Apply statistical methods, data analysis, and structured experimentation to optimize process and equipment performance
  • Collaborate with production, product, and application engineering teams to support product development and series manufacturing
  • Specify, validate, and transfer equipment and processes into serial manufacturing
  • Create, maintain, and approve technical documentation, work instructions, process settings, and qualification records
  • Lead and implement automation efforts in a high-mix low-volume production environment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field of study (STEM disciplines), for example Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Material Science or Industrial Engineering
  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a flexible, team-oriented mindset
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and self-directed approach to solving problems and delivering results
  • Systematic and analytical way of working, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in technical environments
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, processes, and subject matter
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis, and process optimization methodologies
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional experience or a proven track record in a manufacturing environment
  • Professional experience in the field of cable, cable assembly or printed circuit board production
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and process optimization methodologies
