🚀 Why Join Us?
Join a hands-on aviation service engineering team where your work directly supports the repair, routing, and return-to-service of critical aerospace tooling and equipment. In this role, you will translate technical requirements into practical shop instructions, help resolve real production and service challenges, and partner with operations, quality, programming, tooling, customers, and suppliers to keep work moving efficiently. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys practical engineering, problem solving on the shop floor, and improving processes that strengthen quality, reliability, cost effectiveness, and on-time delivery.
⚙️ What You Will Do?
- Translate customer drawings, specifications, and requirements into clear process documentation and operating instructions for new and repeat service and manufacturing work.
- Develop part and assembly instructions that help route work through the most efficient machines, tools, and processes while supporting quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals.
- Serve as a technical resource for shop operations by helping resolve producibility, drawing interpretation, material use, process flow, and bottleneck challenges.
- Represent the company in technical discussions with customers and support meetings when engineering or process input is needed.
- Create supporting manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and process details that enable parts and assemblies to move smoothly through production or service repair activities.
- Apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methods to strengthen quality, reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across existing operations.
- Support successful job launches by defining requirements for hardware, materials, fixtures, outside processing, programming, and other production needs.
- Provide technical guidance to suppliers to help ensure customer requirements, specifications, and quality expectations are met.
- Collaborate with outside tooling suppliers to review tooling needs, resolve technical questions, and support effective tooling solutions.
- Investigate root causes of failures using data and sound engineering judgment, then recommend improvements to designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
- Partner with operations, programming, quality, and tooling teams to review product designs for manufacturability, support quoting activities, and present technical input during quoting discussions.
- Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities to improve quality control, reduce errors, and make shop processes more effective.
- Support other engineering, process improvement, and special projects as assigned.
