Key Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, product quality and cost effectiveness.
Prepare production and inspection processes based on engineering drawings and customer requirements.
Develop and modify CNC programmes for machining operations, including milling and turning processes.
Design and develop jigs, fixtures and tooling for machining applications, particularly for casting components.
Oversee and provide technical support for machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding and honing.
Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) activities and prepare the necessary process and inspection documentation.
Work closely with Production, Quality and other departments to ensure smooth production operations and timely delivery.
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce machining cycle time, improve productivity and maintain consistent product quality.
Troubleshoot manufacturing and machining issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Monitor manufacturing processes and explore new technologies, tools and equipment to improve production efficiency.
Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
Hands-on CNC machining experience is compulsory.
Candidates with experience in machining, casting, precision manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication are preferred.
