Processing Process Engineer

Summary

Designs and optimizes optical cold processing workflows for filters and components, using CAD/SolidWorks and operating milling/polishing machines in a manufacturing setting.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Proficient in the entire process of optical cold processing, including cutting (internal circular cutting, slicing cutting, line cutting), grinding, polishing (double-sided polishing, ring polishing, classical polishing, high/low polishing), etc.
2. Familiar with optical surface smoothness standards, optical component detection methods and quality standards.
3. Skilled in mastering the thinning processing technology of filters and parameter control.
4. Proficient in using CAD, SolidWorks and other two-dimensional/three-dimensional drawing software, and able to independently design tooling fixtures to assist in processing.
5. Capable of independently formulating processing process cards, compiling operation instructions, QC engineering drawings and other process documents.

6. Responsible for the design and optimization of the cutting process flow of optical filters, including production cutting process planning and process parameter setting.
7. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of cold processing equipment such as milling machines, polishing machines, edge grinding machines, thinning machines, and ultrasonic cleaning machines.
8. Participate in the production processing process evaluation and improvement of new products, ensuring a stable and efficient production process.
9. Work closely with production, quality and other departments to solve processing/cutting process problems in production, and improve production efficiency.
10. Responsible for the verification and mass production transfer of the cutting/processing thinning process of new products, ensuring the smooth progress from design to mass production.

Qualification & Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in optical engineering, optoelectronic technology, mechanical engineering, materials science, applied physics, etc.
2. At least 3 years of practical experience in optical cold processing technology. Those with excellent performance can be relaxed to 1-2 years of experience in the same industry.
3. Prior experience in cold processing of optical components such as filters, prisms, and plane mirrors is preferred.
4. Those with experience in processing optical communication devices are preferred.
5. Those with experience in implementing non-standard equipment projects and able to adapt to on-site debugging support are preferred.
6. Understanding of the working principle of cold processing equipment and having maintenance experience is preferred.
7. Possessing good communication and coordination skills, able to quickly understand production requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
8. Familiar with cold processing technology and having project experience in the optical filter processing industry are preferred.
9. Familiar with optical glass processing technology and process flow, with in-depth understanding of optical glass processing.
10. Possessing good teamwork spirit and communication skills, and able to effectively coordinate the cooperation of various departments.
11. Familiar with optical glass processing/cutting (Dicsco automatic slicing machine) equipment and process control technology, with the ability to solve problems.
