The CRC Supply Chain Department is seeking to fill a full-time Procurement Advisor position in Elk Hills, CA

The base annual salary for this posted position is reasonably expected to range from $75K - $100K, with a target annual bonus of 10% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Job Overview: This position is located within the Procurement Hub of the Supply Chain Department. Supporting the day-to-day procurement needs of Operations through the procurement of materials, the role requires quick turnarounds of orders including MRO items, PVF, industrial supplies, pumps, rotating equipment, fasteners, electrical items, and repair services.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives and reviews approved requisitions. Reviews requisitions for completeness.
  • Works with requestors to determine competitive market alternatives, cost targets required by Operations and turnaround time.
  • Determines whether requisitions can be sourced using existing contracts, or whether an RFQ or direct negotiation is required.
  • Direct Operations to utilize materials from stock where possible.
  • Determine if substitute material is available in stock.
  • Builds bid packages and analyzes bids to evaluate for best value considering operational requirements.
  • Guide Operations to utilize the proper buying channels, purchasing card or contract.
  • Utilizes existing procurement systems for RFP and PO placement. Complete all required documentation to execute Purchase Orders.
  • Manages the change-order process.
  • Expediting order delivery.
  • Coordinate the reconciliation of invoicing issues with suppliers and accounting.
  • Ensures compliance with CRC policies and City of Long Beach procurement policies for procurements for qualified Long Beach operations’ purchases.
  • Identify, create & manage select MRO contracts that support efficient procurement processes for the defined buyout items.
  • Identify, execute and report cost savings and service level metrics in support of performance targets for the Procurement Hub.
  • Supports as required, strategic sourcing initiatives for buyout categories.
  • Builds internal networks and fosters relationships with materials and repairs requestors, maintenance planners and Supply Chain personnel.
  • Identifies opportunities for spend aggregation to support broader parts, category, and contracts standardization.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, some college preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years oil field operations, supply chain or relevant industry experience
  • Strong action orientation

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Timeliness of output, problem solving and customer service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, business, Operations, engineering, or related field
  • Experience with ERP Systems
  • General knowledge of oil and gas or related heavy industry experience
