PROCUREMENT ANALYST

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Procurement Analyst/Price and Cost Analyst responsible for the review or acquisition requirements and contracting actions for a large variety of supply and service contracts.

Provides expert guidance in the formulation of the Performance Work Statement and associated data requirements. Participates in government/contract discussions. Prepares briefs, provides advice, and makes recommendations to senior staff officials, senior technical management personnel and program/project managers concerning the acquisition process by means of the formal Acquisition Request (AR) and by providing updates on changes affecting procurement status, executive orders, policies, and regulations. Forms general guidance, develops organizational procurement policy as well as administrative procedures pertaining to the acquisition or complex research and development, operations and maintenance and mission equipment.
