JOB VACANCY: PROCUREMENT ENGINEER
Lingjack Deck Machinery Pte Ltd — Joo Koon, Singapore
Lingjack Deck Machinery Pte Ltd is a leading manufacturer of offshore and marine deck machinery and hydraulic systems, serving customers across the marine, offshore, and maritime industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Engineer to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for mechanical components, hydraulic parts, raw materials, and fabrication services
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, RFQs, and technical specifications in coordination with engineering and project teams
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure procured items meet design and quality requirements
- Monitor supplier performance, lead times, pricing, and quality to ensure on-time project delivery
- Liaise with vendors both locally and overseas to manage costs, delivery schedules, and contractual terms
- Maintain accurate procurement records, cost trackers, and vendor databases
- Work closely with engineering, production, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical or supply issues
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options without compromising quality
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Marine/Industrial Engineering or related field
- Prior experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain within the marine, offshore, or heavy machinery industry preferred
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components is an advantage
- Good negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Business Central ERP Systems
- Meticulous, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
