Description

The Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, equipment and services required to support business operations. The role oversees the procurement cycle from initial purchase requests through to purchase order issuance and delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective and compliant procurement while maintaining accurate documentation and strong supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement process, including supplier sourcing, RFQ preparation, quotation assessment, commercial negotiation, purchase order creation and delivery tracking.
  • Procure materials, equipment and services required for workshop activities, engine servicing, subcontracted services, logistics and other operational needs.
  • Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to address delivery delays, quality concerns and commercial issues.
  • Identify, assess and maintain relationships with suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery performance and overall commercial value.
  • Assist with supplier registration and onboarding, vendor master data maintenance and periodic supplier performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Service, Workshop, Warehouse and Finance teams to ensure procurement requirements are fulfilled efficiently and on time.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to established policies, approval procedures, governance requirements and internal controls.
  • Maintain complete and accurate procurement records in the ERP system, ensuring all supporting documentation is properly maintained and audit-ready.
  • Assist with procurement reporting, KPI tracking and initiatives aimed at improving procurement efficiency and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Previous experience in the marine, offshore, shipyard, engineering or technical services sectors will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of sourcing, RFQ processes, purchase orders and contract administration.
  • Strong commercial awareness with good analytical, problem-solving and negotiation capabilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems; experience with SAP Business One is preferred.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on compliance, accuracy and continuous process improvement.

The ideal candidate should be capable of developing effective supplier relationships, supporting operational procurement requirements and contributing to improvements in procurement processes and performance.
