Job Summary

This role ensures accurate sourcing and purchasing of packaging and consumable materials while meeting financial and productivity targets. It involves inventory monitoring, supplier coordination, reporting, customer service support, and maintaining security of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Source materials and non-standardized products accurately according to requests to meet operational needs
  • Monitor stock levels and expiry dates to place timely order requests and prevent shortages or waste
  • Coordinate with suppliers to generate purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Inspect goods upon arrival and resolve discrepancies such as documentation issues to maintain quality control
  • Update key inventory data points including Lead Time and Re-order Point (ROP) in the CISPRO system for accurate stock management
  • Maintain and update activity reports in SharePoint to track procurement and inventory status
  • Report and document any supply issues promptly to facilitate resolution
  • Initiate the Goods Received (GR) process upon receipt of signed Delivery Orders to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Maintain strong customer relationship management (CRM) with all levels of the customer (P&G) to support service excellence
  • Coordinate and support end-to-end shipment requests between customers and forwarders/couriers to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Assist with other customer service support tasks as needed to enhance client satisfaction
  • Ensure no goods are lost in the dock area by maintaining vigilant security controls
  • Prioritize security of goods throughout warehouse operations to protect company assets

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma in any field or equivalent qualification

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics or procurement industry
  • Knowledge of logistics processes and relevant regulations
  • General understanding of logistics and freight forwarding businesses
  • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse individuals at all levels under normal and challenging situations
  • Customer and result orientation to meet service and operational goals
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
