Procurement Executive (Marine Engineering)
Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement process from sourcing and quotation requests through to purchase order issuance and delivery follow-up.
Source materials, spare parts, equipment, and services to support workshop, technical service, logistics, and operational requirements.
Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate pricing where appropriate, and ensure timely procurement.
Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or commercial issues.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers while supporting vendor onboarding and performance monitoring.
Work closely with Sales, Technical Service, Workshop, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure procurement requirements are met.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and procurement procedures.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation within the ERP system.
Support procurement reporting, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–3 years of procurement or purchasing experience will have an advantage.
Experience in the marine, offshore, engineering, manufacturing, or technical services industry is beneficial but not required.
Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier sourcing, and quotation management is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP Business One) is an advantage.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Eager to learn, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
