Procurement Executive

Position Summary

The Procurement Executive is responsible for supporting the procurementof materials, equipment and services for EPC projects. The role coordinateswith project teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely,cost-effective procurement while meeting project specifications, qualitystandards and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, negotiate and procure materials, equipment and services in accordance with project specifications and procurement procedures.
  • Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs), obtain quotations and evaluate supplier proposals.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Project and QA/QC teams to ensure procured items comply with technical specifications and project requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing, delivery schedules, documentation and order fulfilment.
  • Track deliveries and resolve procurement-related issues to support project schedules.
  • Maintain procurement records, supplier databases and purchasing documentation.
  • Follow up on supplier invoices, delivery orders and supporting documents for payment processing.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and maintaining approved vendor lists.
  • Support inventory planning and coordinate with the warehouse on material availability where required.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements and ethical procurement practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of procurement experience in EPC, construction, engineering, process plant or industrial projects.
  • Experience in purchasing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping or process equipment will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ERP systems will be an advantage.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Meticulous, proactive and committed to delivering quality work.
