Your Role

You own end-to-end sourcing for electronic components and manufacturing partners, helping Shelly bring new products to life at the right cost, quality, and speed. You work closely with Engineering, Product, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, involve suppliers early in the development process, and turn market data into smart procurement decisions.

Responsibilities

  • You source, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers that meet Shelly’s commercial, technical, quality, and delivery requirements
  • You negotiate competitive pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and other commercial terms
  • You monitor commodity and electronic component markets, identify pricing, availability, lifecycle, and supply risks, and flag them early with practical mitigation options
  • You support new product introduction from the early development stages, securing suitable suppliers and providing design-for-cost input
  • You review BOMs and technical specifications together with the relevant internal teams and identify alternative sourcing or cost-optimisation opportunities
  • You maintain accurate supplier information and keep the approved vendor list up to date
  • You run structured supplier performance reviews covering cost, quality, delivery, compliance, and responsiveness
  • You drive measurable cost reductions through rebidding, supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing, volume leverage, and value-analysis initiatives
  • You ensure suppliers comply with Shelly’s contractual, quality, regulatory, and operational requirements
  • You maintain accurate procurement records and supplier data in SAP
  • You use procurement data and AI-enabled tools to improve spend visibility, supplier discovery, forecasting, and workflow efficiency
  • You collaborate across teams to support material availability, supply continuity, and successful product launches

Requirements

  • You bring 3–5 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience in electronics, hardware, IoT, or a similar manufacturing environment
  • You understand electronic component supply chains; knowledge of the semiconductor ecosystem is an advantage
  • You have proven negotiation skills and can demonstrate measurable cost-saving results
  • You have solid hands-on experience with SAP
  • You use AI tools to streamline procurement workflows, such as spend analysis, supplier discovery, demand forecasting, or market research
  • You are familiar with BOM management and feel confident working with technical specifications
  • You take an analytical, data-driven approach to supplier selection and sourcing decisions
  • You balance cost, quality, lead time, availability, and supply risk when evaluating commercial options
  • You communicate clearly and build productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • You collaborate comfortably with Engineering, Product, Quality, Finance, Planning, and Supply Chain teams
