We are a fast-growing Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brand backed by a strong vision and a passionate team. ## Job Summary As the Procurement Head, you will oversee all production-related procurement activities, ensuring that components and materials are sourced at the right time, quality, and cost. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will lead a team to drive procurement efficiency, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure smooth production processes. ## Responsibilities - **Strategic Procurement**: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and business goals; identify and onboard reliable suppliers to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery. - **Vendor Management**: Build and nurture long-term relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms; monitor supplier performance, adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs); resolve vendor issues and negotiate to optimize costs and terms. - **Cost Optimization**: Lead initiatives to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality; analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. - **Production Coordination**: Collaborate with production and planning teams to align procurement schedules with manufacturing timelines; ensure all materials and components are available to meet production demands; proactively address potential disruptions in the supply chain to avoid production delays. - **Process and Compliance**: Implement and maintain procurement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for streamlined operations; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all procurement activities; maintain accurate documentation for audits and reviews. - **Team Leadership**: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing procurement team; foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. ## Qualifications - **Experience**: 8–12 years of experience in procurement, preferably in appliances, electronics, or consumer durables. - **Skills**: Strong understanding of production-related procurement and supply chain processes; proven track record of cost optimization and vendor management; familiarity with ERP systems and procurement analytics; excellent negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders and adapt to a fast-paced environment; willingness to travel as required. - **Education**: A relevant degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. ## Preferred Skills - Experience in a D2C environment or related industries. - Knowledge of sustainable sourcing practices. ## Experience 8–12 years of experience in procurement, with a preference for candidates with a background in appliances, electronics, or consumer durables. ## Environment The position is based in Bangalore, India, within a dynamic work environment that promotes collaboration and innovation.
