Procurement Intern - Summer 2027
Egan Company is seeking candidates for a Procurement Intern role located in Champlin, MN to join our team! The Procurement Intern will gain knowledge and skills to support the process of engineering and manufacturing complex electrical and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Procurement Intern include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in the purchasing of materials through our suppliers for projects and products associated with our industrial control panel design and manufacturing.
- Assist engineering and project team members with researching and selecting alternative materials and/or suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Return unused and overstock materials to suppliers.
- Work with suppliers to improve our quoting and purchasing processes.
- Assist with the implementation of new estimating tools and process improvements.
- Support production coordinator by managing material shortages, reprioritization of work activities, providing supply chain updates, assisting with meeting on-time-delivery metrics.
Position Requirements
- Completed or currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, accounting, business, economics, or related fields
Qualifications
- Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Robust, accurate, fast, and detail-oriented computer skills.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a rapid and detail-oriented environment when interacting with a variety of co-workers and customers.
Working Environment
- Performance of job duties primarily in the Champlin Office.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
