The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials to project sites. This role plays a critical part in supporting project continuity by maintaining strong supplier relationships, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring accurate documentation and inventory management. The ideal candidate will combine strategic sourcing expertise with operational precision to deliver high-quality materials on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials at optimal price and quality to support project needs
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate and manage procurement contracts to achieve favorable terms
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for timely material delivery to project sites
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock tracking for ongoing projects
- Prepare and process procurement documentation, including LPOs, waybills, and delivery notes
